Act of Love

+ Burning House

+ Glaciers

+ Halycon

+ Psycho Map

A night of post-rock/shoegaze/dream pop. Big soundscapes & atmospheric vibes, lots of reverb, too many pedals… You get the idea! Line up as follows:

Act of Love – Act of Love, from Brighton, England, have been described as “painting pictures with music.” As if to prove the point, the band’s tunes have been featured in film, radio and TV on the BBC and ITV in the UK and in United States, Europe, Japan and China.

Burning House – “The music they produce ranges from the most beautiful and melancholy soundtrack to the loudest of feedback driven post rock. They have certainly mastered the soft/loud dynamic, of bands such as Swans, Mogwai and low”

GLACIERS – Atmospheric, dreamy vibes from Portsmouth/Southampton. Inspired by Post Rock, Dream-pop, Shoegaze, Alternative and Psychedelia; G L A C I E R S are a band driven by experimentation, but with a strong pop sensibility.

Halcyon – Dream pop group from Brighton.

PsychoMap – After a long search to write music with like minded musicians, Psychomap formed in late 2016 in Brighton & have been developing a sound that mixes soulful vibes & experimental approaches. The name references the concept of Psychogeography, the idea that place leaves an indelible stamp on awareness & identity.

Action for Happiness

Action for Happiness is a movement for positive social change. We’re bringing together people from all walks of life who want to play a part in creating a happier society for everyone. For fifty years we’ve aimed relentlessly at higher incomes. But despite being much wealthier, we’re no happier than we were five decades ago. At the same time we’ve seen an increase in wider social issues, including a worrying rise in anxiety and depression in young people. It’s time for a positive change in what we mean by progress.

Christina Martin

+ Dandelion Charm

Christina returns to tour United Kingdom June24-July 8 promoting her new single Lungs Are Burning. A fervent anthem for those who are lost and longing, Lungs Are Burning is the first single (Releasing June 6) from Christina Martin’s forthcoming album (Come Undone Records/Tonetoaster). The song was triggered by the rising Fentanyl drug crisis killing thousands of Canadians, with Christina’s lyrics set to music by her and guitarist/producer Dale Murray. With lyrics like while I’m watching the babies and got to go out and get some, baby, Martin captures the desperation of chasing the dream and the horror of living it. Murrays stately production brings that stark reality home with a bite.
