A brand new club night for Brighton, soundphonica is a unique mix of live music, DJ sets, bespoke soundscapes and sonic surprises that is starting to happen this November…
Curated by Brighton-based label Corsair Records, who are launching the event as part of their 10th birthday celebrations, soundphonica is a unique sonic synthesis featuring UK and European touring artists as well as showcasing the label’s roster and local talent.
The events will lead to a series of audio releases under the soundphonica banner in 2015.
David J. Roch This date is part of his nationwide UK tour supporting new album ‘A Cynic, A Realist, An Undertaker’ out November 10th, which sees the Sheffield singer-songwriter re-united with producer and mentor Jim Sclavunos (Grinderman/Bad Seeds).
David has more than a quarter of a million YouTube hits, appearances in iTunes top 30 and a debut album which received rave reviews from UK broadsheets and music press alike. Massive American TV shows ‘Private Practice’, ‘Being Human’ and ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ have all featured his tracks.
AND Oscillator Featuring Justin Welch from Elastica and Brighton luminaries from Los Albertos and The Kooks, Oscillator fuse a multitude of influences including ska, psychedelic jazz and electro funk. And Spatial Awareness In the mind of Spatial Awareness the Paradise Garage never shut its doors. Disco evangelist and preacher of the gospels according to Larry, Frankie, Francis and David, Spatial Awareness joins the dots between disco’s sacred history and its immortal future.
